Memories Stitched & Unpacked: Divergent Fragments, installation

"Memories Stitched & Unpacked: Divergent Fragments" explores the fragility and fluidity of memory through the fragmented image of a stroller, its pieces slightly misaligned, creating the impression of a two-part stroller separated yet still connected. The laser-engraved cardboard squares are arranged on a raw canvas, with a few squares intentionally missing, resembling an incomplete puzzle. Dynamic brushstrokes in white and gold, combined with ink, create a sense of motion, contrasting with the stillness of the fragmented image. Red stitches and hanging threads add layers of texture, symbolizing attempts to piece together fragments of the past. The misaligned stroller refers to my personal narrative, embodying the tension between separation and unity. The work invites viewers to navigate its gaps and misalignments, blending personal recollection with their imagination, and creating a dialogue between motion and stillness, presence and absence.
